Human Equivalent Age for robots.
A robot may be newly manufactured and still be configured to present a mature interaction profile. Forever Age™ gives people a human-reference description of that intended maturity.
Two independent axes
Human Equivalent Age
The intended maturity of the robot’s interaction profile: how it communicates, responds, and presents judgment and emotional steadiness.
Role Profile
The work or interaction the robot is configured for. A role does not automatically determine its Human Equivalent Age.
Criteria are defined for each axis, rather than separately for every possible maturity-and-role combination.
Initial maturity designations
FA25, FA35, FA55, and FA75 are adult-equivalent interaction maturity designations. They describe an intended behavioral profile, rather than physical appearance or time since manufacture.
Identity and maturity
Robot Registry™ issues Robot Registry IDs (RRIDs). An RRID identifies the robot; Forever Age describes its assessed interaction maturity profile.
Clear scope
Human Equivalent Age is distinct from manufacturing date, chronological age, expected service life, warranty, durability, and guaranteed lifespan.
Descriptions of emotional interaction concern observable behavior. They do not establish actual feelings, consciousness, self-awareness, legal personhood, or psychological equivalence to a human.
Forever Age does not replace human accountability or professional judgment and is not a medical or psychological diagnostic system.
